Video Conference Call between the Environmental Center for Arab Towns(ECAT) and Harvard School of Public Health(HSPH)


As a follow-up to a meeting held between the Environmental Center for Arab Towns(ECAT) and Harvard School of Public Health(HSPH) in Dubai earlier this summer, a video conference call was arranged on Sept. 4th 2007 between the two parties to discuss future collaborations and development opportunities through the exchange of expertise. Among the issues discussed was the plan to conduct joint research in Dubai and to co-organize an international conference and exhibition to tackle to regional environmental concerns.

 The meeting was attended by Dr. Petros Koutrakis (Director, HSPH-Cyprus Program), Dr. Philip Demokritou (Director, Cyprus International Institute), & Ms. Monique Bertic (Associate Director for International Advancement) from Harvard School of Public Health and Dr. Radhiya Al-Hashimi (Director of ECAT), Mr. Khalid Al Sokhny (Environmental Specialist) & Ms. Maya Aboul-Hosn (Marketing Executive) from ECAT.
